17-06-2009: GEOISLANDS project was introduced to the members of the Archipelago and Islands Sub-programme at Kuressaare, Saaremaa. Presentation was given by project manager H. Bauert, however this event was also attended by both project coordinators – S. Willman (Sweden) and A. Raukas (Estonia).
September 2009: Project coordinators S. Willman and A. Raukas attended the 8th European Geoparks Conference "New Challenges with Geotourism", held at the Naturtejo Geopark in Portugal on September 14-16th, 2009. Two talks were given entitled "Fostering geotourism on Central Baltic islands" and "Island of Saaremaa, Estonia – a prospective geopark".
09-12-2009: GEOISLANDS project was broadcasted to the public in the national TV serial "Terevisioon", including an interview with A. Raukas and promoting a book and an educational video film "Geotourism highlights of the Saaremaa and Hiiumaa islands".

November 2011: H. Bauert as a GEOISLANDS project manager was supposed to attend the International Congress AROUCA 2011 on November 9-13 in Portugal. Due to strict time limits in completing the project, the trip to Portugal was cancelled. However, A0 poster on GEOISLANDS project results was sent to the congress poster session (download link) and a paper entitled "Geotourism highlights in Estonia" was printed in the congress Proceedings volume (download link)
November 29, 2011: The opening of GEOISLANDS project conclusive exhibition in Swedish language will be arranged at GeoCentrum (Villavägen 16, Uppsala). The invitation to the exhibition opening can be downloaded here
